You're sitting in a chair two miles above the earth, chowing down on vacuum packed beef and rice with a broken fork and a styrofoam plate. There's nothing but a few inches of metal, plastic and engine failure between you and certain death, but you're not worried about that, you are placated by comforting thoughts as you take a stroll through your imagination. Who would win in a fight between a bear and a pirate? What if that bear had a machine gun? What if the pirate was Japanese and therefore had an array of weird flashy powers that he could call upon, involving giant mechanical creatures and/or an army of animal slaves to act out his every command. There's too many variables, it's overwhelming you. The pretty male flight attendant (after all you are gay or a woman?) stupidly sat you down in the 'pressure seat.' You know the one, the one where you are next to the emergency exit and therefore responsible for the well-being of every other fuck on the plane that you couldn't care less about. It's too much responsibility. Overcome by curiosity you reach out to the emergency exit. 'What will happen?' You ask yourself as your hand clamps down around that little red handle thing. 'Wouldn't it be cool if I had a jetpack right now?'
